Qigong

Qigong

Qigong is an ancient system of breathing techniques, movement and meditation, designed to develop and improve the circulation of Qi in the body.

Qigong consist of body postures and movements, breathing and mental exercises of concentration and imagination. They strengthen and regulate physical, emotional and mental functions.

The term Qigong is composed of „Qi“ - vital force, breath, energy, and „Gong“ - labour, persistent practice, ability and competence. „Qigong“ thus means „continuing labour at the Qi“.

Qigong exercises can be learned and practised, to a large extend, independent from age and state of health.

Exerted regularly, Qigong can provide a basis for maintaining good health and support the treatment of chronic diseases.
