Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Our aim is to cure your disease and not to just administer it.
In western countries traditional Chinese medicine is often thought to be only acupuncture. This is probably because acupuncture was the first method to become popular in the west.
However, acupuncture is just one part of traditional Chinese medicine. Other important methods include:
- Moxibustion
- Chinese Special Diet
- Medical Qigong
- Tuina Massage
- Chinese Herbal Treatment
How does TCM work?
This ancient healing system assumes the symptoms to be a sign of disharmony and illness as a disruption in the flow of Qi or life energy.

A treatment according to the rules of TCM should be performed by a TCM qualified doctor. The detailed evaluation of symptoms is important to establish an individual treatment concept.
In acupuncture it will be an individual set of acupuncture points, in Chinese herbal medicine it will be a special combination of herbs.
Depending on your symptoms (imbalance of Qi), you will be treated once or twice a week. A single treatment session usually lasts 30 to 60 minutes.
Diseases commonly treated with TCM:

- Disorders of the Respiratory Tract
(asthma, hayfever, sinusitis, immune-deficiency) - Orthopaedic Problems
(Chronic backache, joint pains, tennis/golfers elbow, rheumatic pain, arthritis) - Disorders of the gastro-intestinal tract
(Chronic diarrhoea and constipation, Crohn’s disease, Colitis ulcerosa, Gastric or duodenal ulcer, gallbladder disorders) - Gynaecological disorders
(Menstrual disorders, pre menstrual syndrome, postmenopausal syndrome) - Migraine
(headaches, neuralgia) - Psycho-vegetative disturbances
(Insomnia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome)
